Treatment

Snap-on dentures or overdentures are suitable for people:

with partially or fully missing teeth
with teeth compromised due to gum disease
who are looking for more comfortable dentures than conventional ones which can potentially slip out of place

The prosthetic system consists of two to four dental implants or screws placed within your jawbone to hold the snap-on acrylic denture in place.

Timeline: two trips, 3 & 7 days

Trip 1 - 3 Days

Trip 1 - Day 1

Consultation

The dentist will examine your teeth, take an X-ray and discuss your dental history with medical contraindications.
Next, the dentist will confirm the possibility of installing implants and start the treatment with your consent.

Trip 1 - Day 2

Teeth Extraction

The dentist removes the teeth and damaged tissues under anaesthesia, then grinds the jawbone, giving it the shape necessary for the further prosthesis installation.

Trip 1 - Day 2

Implantation

The dentist drills holes for the implants in the jaw bone.
After that, the dentist installs two to four dental implants per jaw into the
prepared holes.
At the end of the procedure, the implants are closed with gums and sutures are applied.

Trip 1 - Day 3

Temporary Teeth

Temporary teeth are produced specifically for each patient.
It does not cause discomfort like false palates.

Healing Time 4-6 Months

Trip 2 - Day 1

Checkup & Impression

The dentist will check the implants. After that, the gum is cut under anaesthesia and abutments are temporarily installed on the implants in order to take an impression of the future bridge which will be installed on the implants.

Trip 2 - Day 1

Gum Shaping

In order for the gum to have an aesthetic appearance and fit snugly to the future bridge, a gum shaper is installed on the implant.
After that, the gum is trimmed and sutured so that it grows around the gum former.

Trip 2 -Day 7

Final Restoration

When the gum has healed, the locators are placed.
At this point, the dental laboratory has already made your custom denture.
The denture is installed on the locators and the final prosthetic construction looks like natural teeth.

Consultation

Send us your X-ray (if available) + photos of your teeth via our "Free Consultation" button to book a consultation time and get advice about the suitable treatment.

Treatment Plan & Scheduling

After the consultation, you will get several variants of treatment plans for different budgets.
When you will choose a treatment plan, contact us to agree on the trip date and get all necessary recommendations.

Flight & Transfer

Book a two-way ticket to the Istanbul Airport (IST or SAW) by yourself at least two
weeks in advance, and tell us the booking dates.
We will book a hotel for you in the vicinity of the clinic and arrange the
arrival/departure airport transfer.

Accommodation

You will have a room at a 4-star or 3-star hotel. Your first visit to the clinic will
take place the next day after your arrival, so you will have time to relax after the
flight. If you want to bring guests with you, please let us know in advance, and we
will book suitable rooms and include them in your bill.

First Consultation at the Clinic

Our dentists will examine you and make an X-ray, then they will revise and discuss
the treatment plan with you one more time. After that we can sign a medical
agreement and start the treatment with your consent.

Payment

You have to pay for your treatment before it starts. If your treatment requires
several visits, then you pay in instalments. It is best to pay in cash. If you want to
pay by card, the cost will be increased by 10% + a 3% bank commission.

Treatment

The treatment process proceeds according to the steps described above.
During the treatment, you will receive all the necessary medicines and
recommendations from the dentist.

Meals During Treatment

If your treatment involves a special diet, then we can arrange the delivery of food
to your hotel (at an additional charge). Or you can eat at restaurants following the
dentist's dietary recommendations.
